Marco Silva has made an instant impression at Everton, leading the Toffees on a run of just one defeat in seven Premier League matches heading into this weekend’s Merseyside derby.
Recent history against Liverpool does not favour the Toffees but even a defeat will not erase the feel-good atmosphere around Goodison Park at the moment, which Silva himself has been directly contributing towards.
Everton ground out another victory on Saturday by beating Cardiff City 1-0, with Gylfi Sigurdsson scoring the only goal of the game, and a clip after the match of Silva meeting two young supporters has since been shared around social media.
The Portuguese boss spent time with the fans and was happy to sign shirts as well as answering a few questions, which lead supporters on social media to heap praise upon the former Watford boss for connecting with the fans.
We have gathered some of the reactions below.
Silva class act. Our clubs approach to fans and community a cut above the rest. The family involved even more a credit to our great club. Born not manufactured and been supporting since birth #ThePeoplesClub #COYB #NSNO @RixonSteel
