Everton have improved significantly under the guidance of Marco Silva this season and head into this weekend’s clash with arch-rivals Liverpool on the back of a run that has seen them lose just one of their last seven.
However, further improvements are required if the Toffees are to re-establish themselves as regulars on the European scene and big things are expected in the January window as Silva looks to build upon the success of his summer additions.
Lucas Digne, Bernard and Yerry Mina have all proven themselves to be solid recruits, while Barcelona loanee Andre Gomes has caught the eye – leading fans to beg the Merseyside club to sign the Portugal international on a permanent basis.
It seems another midfielder is being lined-up by Everton though as reports suggest the Toffees are amongst the clubs vying for the services of Lyon ace Tanguy Ndombele, who has caught the eye in the Champions League this season.
