Everton received over £83million from television revenue this season, mainly thanks to Sky Sports and BT Sport’s UK television broadcasting deal.

It cranks up Everton’s TV prize money during the Premier League era to over £700million and with a new deal coming next season, Everton’s TV income is set to dramatically increase, to the tune of over £100million next season alone.

“With the Premier League 25th anniversary next year, we thought it would be interesting to see the full amounts that clubs have been awarded in prize money over the years. Andy Mackenzie of Spreadex told the Echo.

He continued: “The prize money awarded to clubs is staggering – even teams that finish in the relegation positions now receive amounts that are eye-watering by anyone`s standards.

‘With 24 years of consistent growth, this shows that the English Premier League is arguably the most marketable and successful sports league worldwide.”

In comparison to Everton, Manchester United will become the first club to break the £1billion barrier if they finish in the top five next season.
