Chelsea considering BOLD transfer swoop for Everton duo

|

Chelsea are considering a bold transfer swoop for Everton duo Anthony Gordon and Amadou Onana with the January window deadline fast approaching, but Everton may be reluctant to sell, according to recent reports.

Everton have recently announced the departure of Frank Lampard as first-team manager after almost a year.

Even though they are currently without a head coach, the toffees still seem to be very active in the transfer market.

However, recent news has come out about some potential departures from the Everton camp during the January window.

According to The Telegraph, Chelsea are showing interest in potentially signing EFC duo Anthony Gordon and Amadou Onana. A potential deal may be offered by Chelsea which sees the pair spend the rest of the season at Goodison Park on loan deals [via Matt_Law – Twitter]

Although he was one of the main talisman in Everton’s fight for survival last season, Anthony Gordon has really struggle for consistent performances so far this campaign, only managing to score 3 goals all season.

He was recently left out of the line-up in Lampard’s last match as Everton manager, a 2-0 loss to West Ham, where he remained an unused substitute for the whole 90 minutes.

However, since signing from LOSC Lille for a fee believed to be around £33 million, Amadou Onana has been one of Everton’s star performers.

He played an impactful role in nearly all of Everton’s games so far this season and even bagged his first goal for the club last weekend in his side’s 2-1 loss to Southampton at Goodison Park.
