“Wouldn’t get on Everton’s bench” – Some fans say “100% no” to signing “awful” £50m-rated man

According to The Sun, Everton are interested in bringing John Stones back to Goodison Park this summer. The 26-year-old has struggled for form and playing time at Manchester City and could be moved on ahead of next season, but supporters don’t appear keen for Stones to return to Merseyside.

Which club did Everton loan Cenk Tosun out to in January?

Everton released Ashley Williams and Phil Jagielka last summer and could sell Matthew Pennington when the transfer window opens, so they’ll need another centre-back to accompany Mason Holgate, Yerry Mina and Michael Keane next season.

The Toffees have been linked with Mohammed Salisu, Wesley Fofana, Thiago Silva, Jean-Clair Todibo, Kalidou Koulibaly, Thiago Silva, Gabriel Magalhaes, Marash Kumbulla, Christian Luyindama, Issa Diop and Tosin Adarabioyo, but The Sun say Stones is open to re-joining Everton. The £50m-rated defender made 95 appearances in all competitions between 2013-2016 before his move to the Etihad Stadium, but things have fallen apart in Manchester.

Stones has made 129 appearances for the Sky Blues, winning two Premier League titles, three EFL Cups, one FA Cup and two Community Shields, but he’s fallen out of favour under Pep Guardiola – the England international has only made 12 league appearances this season.

Supporters don’t believe Stones will be an improvement, so they don’t want him back.

Pep is by reputation the man, yet even he has come to the conclusion we already no, their is a difference between confidence and arrogance, and stones is always on the wrong side of that line.
Yes their is a time to play out from the back, but there is also a time to aim for the lady in the big hat in row zz, but even afder 3 years pep has not been able to get this simple fact across.
So please keep him well away from goodison, I would not have him back, even on a free transfer, OK he can play, but he’s nowhere near as good as he thinks he is.

No way! Had his chance with us, no wat he’s worth that much. Spend the money on someone who wants to pull on the royal blue.
