Plenty of Everton fans have been salivating over the prospect of signing Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey.

The Athletic revealed that talks between his representatives and Die Werkself have been negotiating a leaving price in the next transfer window with three years remaining on his contract, and a fee believed to be around €20-€30m (£18m-£27m).

According to Voice-Online, Everton are being linked with a “cut-price” move for the Jamaican winger after Leverkusen’s original asking price was reported to be £75m.

During the current campaign, Bailey has managed to score seven goals and provide three assists in 31 appearances in all competitions, which is a strong record in a well-respected league such as the Bundesliga.

Because of this, supporters were excited over the thought of signing Bailey and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he would be “massive” for the club, while another described him as a “baller”.
