Ukrainian winger, Mykhaylo Mudryk was subject to interest from Everton in the summer, but the blue’s proposal was rejected. Shakhtar Donetsk now reportedly value to 21-year-old at around €100 million

Everton were on the hunt for attacking reinforcements during the summer transfer window after Richarlison departed the club for Tottenham Hotspur.

During the window, Dwight McNeil was signed from Burnley and Neal Mapuay was signed from Brighton and Hove Albion.

However, the blues were reportedly looking to bring in another forward in the shape of Shakhtar Donetsk winger, Mykhaylo Mudryk .

According to Fabrizio Romano, Everton had put forward a £30 million verbal proposal to the Ukrainian club in n attempt to bring the winger to Merseyside. However, this proposal was reportedly turned down.

Mudryk ended up staying at Shakhtar for the start of the 2022/23 season and is currently tearing up Ukrainian football having scored 7 goals and provided 7 assists in 12 matches so far.

Due to his incredible form recently, Shakhtar’s director of football Darijo Srna claimed in October that Mudryk is worth €100m (£85.7m) [via Sport Bible].

Arsenal are now reportedly the only team left in negotiations for the 21-year-old with Everton presumably being unable to come close to matching his valuation.

Missing out on the signing of Mudryk could go down as another of the many players Everton missed out on signing which ended up coming back to bite them.
