It could well be a hectic final week for Everton in the transfer market with a few rumours doing the rounds and a fair bit to be sorted.

The Blues have been struggling for consistency this season and whatever we do in the final week, we need to make sure that it gets us to a position where we can kick on.

According to Le 10 sport, then, one in and one out could well be on the agenda – starting with Idrissa Gueye’s exit.

The French outlet is claiming that the Blues are braced for his exit to PSG and have identified a contingency plan – Celta Vigo midfielder Stanislav Lobotka.

Indeed, the report suggests that we’ve made good progress in trying to bring him in from La Liga and so it appears the midfield revolving door could well be in use before Deadline Day.

I’d like us to keep Gueye, of course, but it would seem that a changing of the midfield guard is possible.
