Loads of Everton fans have been reacting on social media after the Toffees confirmed that Sandro Ramirez has joined La Liga side Real Valladolid on loan for the 2019/20 season.

The Spanish striker had spent the recent term on loan in his native country with Real Sociedad, but was sent back to Merseyside at the end of the campaign as the Txuri-urdinak opted against triggering their option-to-buy.

During his spell at the Anoeta, Sandro featured in 26 games, but once again failed to break his goal drought, which has now stretched beyond 580 days, given he last hit the back of the net in our Europa League defeat at home to Atalanta in November 2017.

The FC Barcelona product, who earns £65,000-a-week with the Toffees, came close to breaking his duck against his former loan side Sevilla last November during a nil-nil draw. But failed to capitalise on a great chance, as he stumbled and kicked the turf, and made no contact with the ball as it drifted wide of the post.

Sandro still has two years to run on his Everton contract, however a potential option-to-buy has been muted in reports of the 23-year-old’s loan move to Valladolid.

Clearly, some Toffees supporters would like to see the Estadio Jose Zorilla natives trigger the clause next season going by some of the reactions to Everton’s confirmation of his temporary deal…
