Everton are progressing well under the guidance of Marco Silva and entered the international break in good form after holding Chelsea to a goalless draw at Stamford Bridge.
It has been a difficult couple of seasons for the Toffees, who have sunk from top-six regulars into the midtable spots after forgetful spells under Roberto Martinez, Ronald Koeman and Sam Allardyce.
Former England boss Allardyce was a particularly divisive figure at the club as many fans were left uninspired by his negative style of play last season but, thankfully, things have improved under Silva.
Everton are now playing a much more attractive brand of football this season and, although there is still plenty of work to be done, positive signs have emerged and one particular highlight from the recent draw with Chelsea has caught the eye.
After being shared on social media, many fans reacted positively to the clip and believe it is an indication of better things to come. We have gathered some of their responses below.

Our players are demanding so much more from each other with their passing and movement this season, no more safety first sideways and backwards and then a hoof.

Gomes forward passes and taking the ball in tight areas is massive in this

We’ve come so far in a short space of time under Silva. In the dark days of Allardyce didn’t think we’d ever see football like this again

Class to watch mate. Good to see lads getting onto the ball with confidence. Our summer signings has brought so much composure to our side. Hopefully gomes bosses the show at anfield.
