Everton have come a long way under the guidance of Marco Silva this season and boast an impressive record of just two defeats in their last nine Premier League matches.
However, the Toffees endured a frustrating week after suffering a last-gasp defeat to Liverpool in the Merseyside derby last weekend before being held to a 1-1 draw by a struggling Newcastle United side in midweek.
That stumble has allowed rival clubs to close the gap on Silva’s side and a positive result is required this evening when Everton clash with Watford, where defeat would see the Hornets pull level on points with the Toffees.
Monday night football is never always the most popular of kick-off times but fans will not care too much as long as their side gets a victory, with many taking to social media to urge Everton to bounce back from their recent blip.
