Vote Of Confidence.

Well, I’ve heard of the managers getting the dreaded vote of confidence from the Chairman, but never the players too. However, James Beattie revealed to the official site that, despite our woeful start to this campaign, (one win in eight if you need reminding) Kenwright has offered his full support.

Before our game v Spurs last weekend, the Kenwright stressed to the players and manager that they had the full support throughout the club.

James Beattie said: ‘The chairman actually thanked the players for allowing this club to play in the Champions League and the UEFA Cup, he made a great speech in front of the lads and the players really appreciated it. It’s not all doom and gloom. The chairman came to the team hotel before the Spurs game and he had a good long chat with the boys and gave the gaffer his full support. He said he will be at this club as long as David is, stuff like that.’

Adding:

‘It was brilliant and the lads really appreciated it and it was something I wasn’t expecting but it was accepted well by the lads. It was admirable really, he said he was really scared doing it and I’m sure Mr Kenwright has done some scary things in his time.’
