The Premier League season continued with the latest round of games played over the weekend.

For a second successive weekend Manchester United recorded a comfortable win in the end, seeing off a Swansea side, which had a decent record against United recently, 4-0 at the Liberty Stadium.

West Brom maintained a 100% start with a 1-0 victory at Burnley, who had such an impressive Turf Moor record last season, the stable for securing a Premier League place.

A narrow Liverpool win was secured over Crystal Palace, who headed to Anfield looking for a fourth successive victory on Merseyside, still seeking a first point under Ronald De Boer. Meanwhile, five goals were shared between Southampton, a club who struggled for home goals last season, and West Ham, edged 3-2 by the Saints at St Mary’s.

Saturday’s late kick off saw Arsenal slip up at Stoke – the Gunners losing 1-0 at the Bet365 Stadium.

A Championship fixture last season, of course a Premier League one this time round, but Sunday’s Huddersfield v Newcastle meeting went the way of the Terriers, who made it two wins out of two. Meanwhile, Chelsea, also on Sunday, recovered from a shock opening day defeat to come away from Wembley with a victory over Tottenham.

Finally, a first Monday night game of the new campaign, it ended level at the Etihad Stadium, in more ways than one, as Manchester City and Everton played out a 1-1 draw – both sides finished with 10 men too.

Here’s a round-up of the Premier League results.
