There have been many a memorable moment for Everton over the years, but many of them pale in comparison to a win over their old rivals Liverpool. One of the biggest rivalries in England, Liverpool and Everton may share a city, but they certainly don’t all share a love for one club.
To the contrary, in fact, and that’s often highlighted on the field. Fierce passion and desire is shown by both sets of fans whenever the two teams meet, and few games have offered as much fire as one game back in 2010.
Back in October 2010, the mighty Blues were able to lodge a historic win against their rivals, with the game, a 2-0 win, never to be forgotten by all of us adoring Toffees. This fixture was recently remembered over on the official premier League Twitter page.

Though we haven’t been able to replicate that success over the years, there’s no doubting that the Merseyside derby may be the tightest yet this season. We’re looking good under Marco Silva, and some of our players look bang in-form. Liverpool, meanwhile, whilst they look good, have shown that they are not faultless as of late – and so the door could be open for an opportunity.
We’re set to take on Liverpool in early December, and it’s a fixture that we already can’t wait for. Will we find ourselves a new Tim Cahill? Let’s hope so.
