Everton have had a mixed campaign so far this season, but it’s clear that Marco Silva has the foundations to build some real success at Goodison Park.

He emerged as one of the best goalkeepers in England throughout the summer, with his stunning performances for his country impressing all onlookers. Of course, Blues fans will know that he was just as good last season, with his stunning shot-stopping and consistency vital to Marco Silva’s men.
However, as highlighted by a recent post by Everton on Twitter, his goalkeeping ability only tells half the story. He’s also stunning with the ball at his feet, and he proved that when the Toffees took on Hajduk Split. He’s not really known for it, but it’s a hugely undervalued trait of his.

As the above clip in a prior game against Hajduk Split highlights, he’s able to create magic going forward with his great deliveries and passes, and with Marco Silva looking to build a system that relies heavily on passing and moving, having a goalkeeper that is capable with the ball at his feet is crucial.
He’s only getting better at the moment, and before too long, we think he could emerge as the best goalkeeper in the Premier League.
