Two years ago today, after a fantastic start to the season under Carlo Ancelotti, Everton sat top of the league after a 2-1 win at Crystal Palace, and that wasn’t the only thing that was top of the table.
Everton fans on Twitter came together to get Spirit of the Blues into the iTunes Charts. At first, it was to see how high they could get it, but, Evertonians made it their mission to make it number 1 in the iTunes Charts.
And they did just that!

The song that was brought out in the eighties rose than more 1000 places in the charts and beat Miley Cyrus to the top of the charts. During the following weeks, multiple Everton songs entered the iTunes top 20 much to the amusement of Evertonians.
All over Twitter, TikTok, and other social media platforms. Everton fans and even the players would put the song over certain videos, due to its popularity of the song. Everton even made their own official music video, and just because. Check it out below!
Since topping the charts, the song has floated in and around the top 100 in the iTunes charts with it hitting number 3 in the charts again this Summer after Everton survived relegation.
