Everton headed to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday to face Arsenal in our latest Premier League clash.

Goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang gave the hosts a 2-0 victory and there was little for the travelling fans to celebrate – especially as the second goal was massively offside – but with Everton’s defensive woes continuing and a failure to make the most of our own attacks on the day, it just became another of those evening’s as pressure begins to build on manager Marco Silva.

Despite having significantly less of the ball, Everton did make the most of our possession in terms of chances on and off target, but we just weren’t clinical enough.

One man took his opportunity to impress again though following his summer arrival from Barcelona, and WhoScored gave left back Lucas Digne a rating of 7.32 for his efforts.

He was one of only three players to reach a rating of 7 with Idrissa Gueye and Gylfi Sigurdsson being given 7.13 and 7.02 respectively, but that shows you just how poor a showing it really was.

At least Digne is proving to be a plus point though as he’s incredibly consistent in his work both defensively and offensively.
