Everton suffered a gut-wrenching defeat at the hands of arch-rivals Liverpool on Sunday, where Divock Origi capitalised on a mistake in the dying moments to score the only goal of the game.
Jordan Pickford’s calamitous error has attracted plenty of headlines in the days since, with many identifying that the England number one previously stated he would not make mistakes like Reds counterpart Alisson has.
However, despite the loss, there are still plenty of positives surrounding Marco Silva’s side this season and the fact that Everton have lost just two of their last eight Premier League matches should definitely not be overlooked.
While Pickford was the villain for his mistake at the weekend, the former Sunderland stopper has often been a hero for the Toffees at times this season and many fans took to social media to make it clear that they still support the 24-year-old.
