The Word On The Tweet

These Everton fans on Twitter know who they want Brands to target if PSG sign Gueye

Everton fans have been reacting to the recent speculation over Idrissa Gana Gueye’s future, and these supporters are demanding that Michy Batshuayi is brought in if the midfielder is sold.

Paris Saint-Germain reportedly lodged an official offer for the 29-year-old over the weekend to the sound of £21.5million, but were instantly waved away by Everton as they are reluctant to sell, let alone for that fee.

The Toffees’ refusal to sanction Gueye’s exit supposedly led to the Senegal international handing in a written transfer request on Monday, although the club have denied ever receiving it.

As for Batshuayi, the striker is still training with Valencia as his season-long loan spell in La Liga is yet to be cut short by Chelsea, but Everton are reportedly keen on signing the Belgian.

Marcel Brands cannot tempt the Stamford Bridge side into offering his services Everton on loan, however, as the Blues already have Kurt Zouma and Andre Gomes occupying their two available loan slots.

If the Merseyside outfit are to bring the striker to the club, they would have to buy him from Chelsea, something The Sun have claimed will cost £40million.

Given the Pensioners’ price demand, these Everton fans are hopeful Gueye is sold to fund Batshuayi’s arrival…
