With Oumar Niasse and Cenk Tosun coming in for a fair bit of criticism on social media following Everton’s defeat on Sunday to West Ham United, Andy Gray didn’t hold back on his thoughts about them both in his punditry work.
The one time Everton man told BeIN Sports.
Andy Gray on Everton via beIN SPORTS:
“Tosun isn’t good enough. Oumar Niasse isn’t good enough, not at this level. When I talk about this level, I’m talking about top half of the Premier League. Those boys are not good enough.” pic.twitter.com/GFX6BFQV7A

His words certainly struck a chord with a number of fans on social media channels and whilst some pointed out that they are both good lads, and more than give their all for our shirt, the bottom line is, as Gray points out, they aren’t the quality that we need them to be if we want to kick on and eventually challenge that top six and look for a route back to European competitions.
I had someone try and argue with me the other day that Tosun is better than Lukaku ???????? Tosun has got about 10 goals in him a season

…and he's absolutely spot on. Only, he forgot to mention most of the rest of the squad…

He’s right, don’t care what anyone says.

He’s right…let’s give rich a run at striker

I’d stick Richarlson up top, Sigurdson in behind and Bernard on the left!

The biggest question is given the squad has a number of concerns, it’s not just scoring goals that are an issue, it’s also the ease to which we concede them…can we get the ‘top six’ replacements or will fans have to accept periods of consolidation as we take steps?
Different fans will have different feelings on that though.
