Everton’s squad is strong, but the return of James McCarthy will undoubtedly make us even better. He hasn’t played since January, owing to a long-term leg injury, and it’s fair to say that we’ve missed his quality in midfield.
Fortunately, he appears to be edging ever closer to a return.
“When the chance comes, I’ll be ready and I’ll make sure I give it my all”, he said.

Clearly, McCarthy isn’t expecting to return and come straight into the side and dominate. He recognises that it’s going to be a slow process even when he’s available again.
However, what’s important here is that he’s eager to make that difference, and Everton fans online are clearly recognising his desire, at least judging by their responses.
