The blues currently sit 17th in the Premier League after 15 fixtures going into the January transfer window having only scored a mere 11 goals in that time.
Although there appears to be no imminent danger, Frank Lampard and his team will be hoping to not have a repeat of last season so will be looking to bring in plenty of reinforcements next month.
A correspondent from the Liverpool Echo reported that Everton had already drawn a list of players to target during the January transfer window, which is a step in the right direction, but the sooner Kevin Thelwell and his staff can introduce some new signings, the better.
Everton have been linked to the likes of Beto, Mohammed Kudus and Diachi Kamada in recent weeks, but would have to put in a serious level of effort to complete any of those signings.
A dive into the EFL for some diamonds in the rough could be a better use of money for the toffees.
