Turkish international striker Cenk Tosun has certainly been a hot topic of conversation for Everton fans given our start to the season of 2018/19.
With manager Marco Silva choosing not to strengthen options at the very top of the pitch, given Richarlison isn’t a died in the wool striker, Tosun’s lack of goalscoring form has stood out like a sore thumb given the barren spell he was on, but he broke that goal drought against Fulham after coming onto the pitch as a substitute.
With some fans on social media believing that he’d been found out and we needed to look for a replacement when the January transfer window opened, plenty of others backed him to come good given the positions he was still finding himself in and of course he had won plenty of praise given his overall work rate and the way he was holding the ball up and bringing others into play.
Did Tosun score today or was I watching something else ?

He plays so much better with pace alongside him. Having DCL to his left did him no favours! Made a big difference when he came on today

Absolutely made up for Tosun today though

Cenk tosun has to start hold up play is brilliant. Against Bournemouth an wolves he done the same. DCL offers absolutely nothing at this level am afraid. #EFC

As the above comments show, plenty are backing him now to get himself on a run of form and find the net more regularly given the relief and confidence boost he should’ve taken.
