We’re all pleased with Everton’s start to the season and Marco Silva looks like he could be the manager we hoped he’d be.

It is early, of course, but we’re unbeaten and there’s no reason why we shouldn’t actually have more points on the board than we do.

Even so, we cannot be complacent and there are areas that Silva needs to work on – namely set-pieces and defending them.

Last weekend we saw Huddersfield score from one and it seems as though Silva teams are susceptible to such moments.

Dominic King of the Daily Mail – via the Liverpool Echo’s report – has shown that at Watford and Hull the goals conceded from set-pieces of all those they let in under Silva was over 38% at both clubs.

The Premier League average last season, meanwhile, was just over 27%.

That is an alarming statistic and so hopefully it is something that he will address sooner rather than later.
