‘That’s ridiculously offensive’ – These Everton fans discuss Silva’s side to face Watford

|

A selection of Everton fans have been discussing who they would like Marco Silva to field against Watford, as the new Premier League season arrives at Goodison Park.

The boss was forced into handing Jean-Philippe Gbamin his Blues debut at Selhurst Park in the curtain-raiser against Crystal Palace after Andre Gomes was forced off with an ankle injury, and would appear to be ruled out for the week two encounter with the Hornets.

Silva will also be without Morgan Schneiderlin after the Frenchman received his marching orders late in the second half in South London, but may be able to fill the midfield void with Fabian Delph after the ex-Manchester City man returned to training earlier in the week.

Fellow summer signing Alex Iwobi was also spotted at Finch Farm, and could be in line for his Toffees debut in some capacity, but some Everton fans would rather see Silva hand Moise Kean his first start in Royal Blue when the boss’ former side travel to Merseyside.

Blues supporters have also touted places for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Tom Davies, and Bernard, with fans discussing a potential move to a 4-3-3 rather than Silva’s traditional 4-2-3-1 to better incorporate the players at hand.

Here’s what these fans have suggested…
