Team News: Everton without defender ahead of Fulham clash, duo could return

|

Marco Silva is nearly at full strengthen for his side’s upcoming Premier League outing, with Everton having only one absentee ahead of Saturday’s clash with Fulham – Yerry Mina (hamstring). The Toffees are expected to welcome back two players for the trip to Craven Cottage, with Michael Keane (illness) and Morgan Schneiderlin (ankle) recovering from respective injuries.

Keane is fully fit and available, but he may not start against the Cottagers. Phil Jagielka replaced the 26-year-old in Sunday’s 1-0 win over Arsenal and could be given another opportunity at the heart of the defence. Schneiderlin isn’t likely to start against Fulham either, with Andre Gomes, Tom Davies and Idrissa Gueye ahead of the returning midfielder in the pecking order.

Mina has been sidelined for a couple of weeks and has been ruled out of facing the Cottagers. Kurt Zouma partnered Jagielka in the Arsenal clash and should retain his place while the Colombian international recovers. Everton are big favourites to pick up all three points against Fulham on Saturday and are coming off the back of three consecutive league wins.

Victory over the Londoners could see Everton go seventh in the table and they’ll fancy their chances given Fulham have lost their last four home games.
