Having finalised a deal for Wayne Rooney Everton are expected to focus efforts on Swansea’s Gylfi Sigurdsson as Ronald Koeman looks to add a further three additions to the six the Dutchman has so far brought to Goodison Park.

‘Swansea are yet to receive any official approaches from Everton and are frustrated by reports that the Merseyside club are about to launch a second bid of £35m’, reports Sky Sports.

A source is also quoted: ‘Swansea will not be pushed around and are not looking to sell. They have a figure in mind that they feel represents Sigurdsson’s worth in the market and if nobody reaches that they are very comfortable about keeping him.’

That figure has reportedly been set at £50m.

Leicester have an interest in the Icelandic international too with the BBC claiming an ‘offer around £40m’ has been turned down by the Swans.

Sigurdsson would make a fine addition to the Everton squad but how much is too much for the midfielder? Admittedly the Blues, much as had been our stance with Romelu Lukaku, will quite rightly have to pay the Swansea asking price.

What is this poll asking?
Should Everton sign Sigurdsson?

How you can vote
Yes, has the quality we’d want
No, he’s not needed. Especially at £50m
We should, but NOT at £50m

However, whatever happens with Sigurdsson, as Lukaku’s switch to Old Trafford looms large, the forward has already penned a farewell message on Instagram, the Blues DO need to bring in another striker to replace him.

Bringing in Sandro Ramirez and the returning Wayne Rooney isn’t enough – Koeman needs A.N.Other.

What did the poll ask?
Do Everton need another striker?

How you voted
Yes, to replace Lukaku 74%
Well, it wouldn’t hurt so why not 16%
No, Sandro and Rooney do that 10%
