Everton got themselves a much-needed win over Chelsea earlier this afternoon as the Blues kept up their hopes of a top-seven finish.
The Blues have been up and down this season and after last weekend’s nightmare at Newcastle, it was important that we responded.
We did, however, struggle to really get going in the first-half and we were probably fearing the worst against Chelsea.
We stayed level, though, with the away side far from impressive and it was clear that at half-time the lads were given a bit of a kick up the backside to get going.
We started the second-half better, then, and were eventually good value for the win against the London club.
A rare start for Yerry Mina was thrown into the bargain, too, and I felt as though he had a good game – so hopefully more of that is on the way.
Let’s take a look at the reaction to his performance on Twitter…
Mina was a rock today man.

Keane and Mina double clean sheets vs Chelsea this season. Solid 👏 #EFC

They’ve been knocked, but thought Pickford and Mina were faultless today #EFC

DCL my MOTM. He was this side’s ignition switch today. Richarlison also a huge turnaround in the second half. Funny how getting your best attacking player on the ball leads to good things, eh? Gueye 💪🏼. Given how little he’s played lately, thought Mina did just fine. #EFC

Yerry Mina was extremely good today. Chelsea seem to be his preferred opponent.
