Making the trip to the Midlands at the weekend to open our new Premier League campaign against newly promoted Wolves, Everton travelled back with a deserved point for our efforts.

Summer signing Richarlison helped himself to a brace of goals on the day but the hosts hit back each time, but few can argue with a point given the time we spent down at ten men after Phil Jagielka saw a straight red card.
With plenty of spirit and desire on show, Everton fans were pretty happy at the fulltime whistle.

They were even happier having seen manager Marco Silva’s words as he reflected on his first competitive match in charge as he acknowledged it wasn’t a great performance and he promised that he had no doubts we would be far better in the future as our new signings gelled with the group and the players as a whole, took his messages more on board.

The first time in over a year that I actually enjoyed watching us, the difference in tactics and shape technically the same team bar 1 allardyce and koeman had looked a totally different beast without the class signings we have, Marco we salute u son????

If Jags hadn't been sent off for a clean tackle, we'd have won comfortably.

With plenty of optimism following our late transfer captures, expectations will only rise once that first win comes along but we can’t expect too much to soon as he’s still just getting his feet under the table.
