Perhaps one of the positives of this season so far is seeing Marco Silva willing to trust young players.

Of course, results are not perfect right now but he is working on it and it looks as though he is going to bring in a fresh looking style and team for the years to come.

With our young talent, that is obviously a good thing and seeing Tom Davies take the armband for his local club this season has been a real positive.

Of course, he can’t just be in the side because he is local and needs to be more consistent but the Portuguese has enjoyed what he has seen from the midfielder.

Via the club’s official site, he said:

“I like that Tom can take this responsibility, he is a player who has worked for a lot of years with Everton and knows everything about our Club.”

Davies is one we all want to see become a club hero and he does have the potential.

Getting him to that next level where he does it every game is now his and Silva’s task.
