We’ve been waiting to hear that certain players are ready to feature for the club and it looks as though we’re finally closing in on some more debuts.
In the summer, we signed the likes of Yerry Mina, Bernard and Andre Gomes but we’ve only seen Bernard play from that trio so far.
However, it seems as though, despite injury setbacks and having to be patient, we’re now at a point where Gomes and Mina are closing in on playing in blue.
Silva said at today’s pre-match press conference ahead of our game with Leicester:
🗣️ | “Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes are doing well. @aftgomes trained well this week and is progressing as we expected. They will be available for Crystal Palace after the break; Seamus Coleman too.”https://t.co/8Ad476i1B8

Both, then, are not far away from a return to first-team action and, indeed, making their debuts for us.
Whether they start immediately remains to be seen but at last we’ll start to see the strength of our squad with them pushing for a spot in the team.
Meanwhile, it’s also a boost that Seamus Coleman is closing in on a return.
