Despite plenty of speculation this summer, Sandro Ramirez is still an Everton player with the European deadline tomorrow.

You’d have been forgiven for thinking he’d have gone already this summer thanks to a lack of game time last summer but it seems as though Marco Silva is actually a fan.

Indeed, perhaps surprisingly, it looks like the Portuguese manager wants to keep him at the club for this season.

After a decent showing against Rotherham last night, Silva was quoted by the Daily Mail as saying:

“Sandro is a player I would like to stay in our squad because he is a player I believe in.”

Clearly, the former Watford manager likes him and it remains to be seen exactly what sort of performances he can get out of him.

If he can start fulfilling the potential we thought he had when he signed, though, that would certainly make him like a new signing for us and it would be no shock if someone like Silva could get it out of him.
