It appears the speculation linking Everton manager Marco Silva with a return to former club Hull City for youngster Jarrod Bowen is getting another airing this week.

Everton fans may remember that the Sun claimed an exclusive in the middle of last week stating that we were preparing a £12million offer for the 21-year-old winger.

Silva worked with Bowen during his short spell at the KCOM Stadium and the player went on to have an outstanding campaign for the Tigers in 2017/18, lifting their Players’ Player of the Year and Fans’ Player of the Year after bagging 15 goals across the campaign.

Under Silva directly, Bowen started making his name in the game with one start and six substitutes showings in the Premier League and plenty have been keeping their eyes on him since.

With Everton looking to move players on this summer to shrink our first-team group I’d be surprised if Bowen was an immediate go to as is being suggested, but along with quite a few other bits of speculation, it seems the Bowen one is going to make regular appearances until the transfer window shuts.
