As quoted by the Liverpool Echo, Marco Silva has said that James McCarthy could be back in training at the end of the month.
The midfielder suffered a horrible double leg break last season against West Brom and has been out for months since but he is on his way back now.
Indeed, Silva has said that it might not be long until he is training once more with the rest of the lads:
“He is progressing well.
“We expect in the next weeks to start, slow-by-slow and step-by-step, working with the team.”
He’s not finished yet with his recovery but he is now so close and that is exciting for him and the rest of the team.
He’s a good, honest player and a decent option to have whilst it’s always nice to see players work their way back from horrible moments like he suffered.
We should be weeks from him playing with the rest of the lads at Finch Farm, then, whilst it remains to be seen when he makes his return to actually playing.
