Everton have improved significantly under the guidance of Marco Silva this season but were unable to end their recent struggles against arch-rivals Liverpool at the weekend.

Jordan Pickford’s calamitous error in the dying minutes of the Merseyside derby gifted the only goal of the game to Liverpool striker Divock Origi, who took advantage and sparked passionate celebrations from the red half of the city.

Jurgen Klopp caught the headlines after charging onto the field to celebrate with goalkeeper Alisson and has since been punished by the Football Association for his actions, which has led to a debate on social media.

While many believe the German boss crossed a line, some Everton fans stated they were actually happy that it occured as they believe it shows that the passion for the derby is still there – suggesting that spark has been missing in recent meetings.

We have gathered some of their comments below.
