We’ve had a decent start to the season with no losses and a decent amount of points being totted up too.

The Blues are certainly looking good under Marco Silva right now but, equally, you always wonder if certain decisions in the summer – had they gone the other way – could have made us even better.

Take for example, then, Wayne Rooney’s form.

Yes, it is in America and he did start to struggle last season but perhaps we could have managed his game-time.

He’s scoring and setting up goals for a side that was poor and has been poor for a prolonged period of time.

Now, they are flying thanks to his arrival and under Silva surely he could still have had an impact.

A modern coach like him would have brought a new way of thinking to managing Wayne’s career and I just think that it’s an opportunity we might well have missed.

That’s how it goes, though, and I don’t see him coming back again.
