While we all appreciate and enjoy the excitement that a new signing brings, it’s bitterly frustrating when a player fails to realise their potential or fulfil expectation. Davy Klaassen has endured a difficult career as an Everton player, and the Dutchman could be poised to leave Goodison Park.
According to the German outlet, Bild, Werder Breman have submitted a €15M (£13M) for Davy Klaassen. Bremen are in need of another midfielder having sold Thomas Delaney to Borussia Dortmund.
The midfielder proved to be a tremendous talent during his days with Ajax, and during his last two seasons with the Dutch club, Klaassen amassed a highly impressive total of 35 goals. Despite his excellent performances, he only attained 16 appearances for us last season, failing to score a single goal.
Here’s what Everton supporters think of Klaassen on Twitter.
One of the worst signings in prem history

I would say good luck to him, been treated shabbily by Everton IMO

Verdict:
Klaassen has displayed his worth as a creative force, and it would be a bitter disappointment to lose a player of his calibre for a reduced price. He could flourish under Marco Silva’s guidance.
