According to Fotomac (h/t Sport Witness), Trabzonspor are holding talks with Everton for Oumar Niasse and are ‘hoping they can sign’ the 29-year-old this week. With Marcel Brands and Marco Silva capturing Moise Kean from Juventus, Niasse is expected to be moved on before the window shuts.

Niasse is behind Kean, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Cenk Tosun in the pecking order under Silva and hasn’t featured for the Toffees manager since December 2018. He was used in pre-season but didn’t make the matchday squad for their opening Premier League game with Crystal Palace.

The Senegalese international hasn’t been linked with many clubs throughout the summer, but Fotomac believe progress could be made this time, as Trabzonspor have met with Everton to get a deal over the line as soon as possible.

Niasse scored nine goals in 39 games for the Toffees since joining from Lokomotiv Moscow in 2016, but he didn’t find the back of the net last season. The striker failed to score in seven appearances for Everton and fired blanks in 13 appearances on loan at Cardiff.

It’s not hard to see why clubs aren’t too keen on his signature, but Fotomac’s report on Trabzonspor could be great news.
