Report: Striker with 18 goals in 38 games has ‘attracted interest’ from Everton

According to the Daily Mail, Victor Osimhen has ‘attracted interest’ from Everton. The Toffees may have to battle Leicester City, Manchester United and Chelsea for the 21-year-old’s signature, so it remains to be seen if they bring him to Goodison Park.

Which club did Everton loan Cenk Tosun out to in January?

Osimhen has spent eight months at LOSC Lille since joining from RSC Charleroi last summer. The Nigerian international has gone on to make 38 appearances in all competitions, scoring 18 goals and making six assists, so he’d improve the squad in a key area.

Everton could be losing up to four strikers this summer – Sandro Ramirez, Cenk Tosun, Oumar Niasse and Moise Kean. Ramirez could join Real Valladolid on a permanent deal, Tosun has been out of favour in 2020, Niasse will be out of contract in the coming months and Kean has been linked with Inter Milan, AS Roma & Bologna.

Osimhen fits the bill of a Marcel Brands signing. He’s a young striker with the potential to become a first-team player, so it’s easy to see why Everton are keen. The Toffees have been linked with Andrea Belotti, Sardar Azmoun, Odsonne Edouard, Hirving Lozano and Emmanuel Dennis among others, but it’s up in the air who they’ll end up signing.
