Report: Striker could leave Everton, agent in talks with two clubs over summer move

|

According to AsistAnaliz (h/t Sport Witness), Cenk Tosun’s agent has been in talks with Borussia Dortmund and Schalke 04 over a potential summer move. The 27-year-old has struggled for form and playing time over the last 12 months and could be on his way out of Goodison Park.

Tosun has scored and created seven goals in 29 games in all competitions, but his form fell off a cliff in 2019. Since the turn of the year, the Turkish international has scored only one goal in the Premier League and one in the FA Cup. He’s made only one assist in all competitions since October 2018.

Marco Silva has preferred Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin up front and handed Tosun just one start in the league since February. The former Besiktas striker has been an unused substitute on a regular basis in recent months. Everton paid £27m in 2018 for Tosun and Calciomercato say they are open to selling him for £17m.

Fiorentina and Lazio could challenge Dortmund and Schalke for the centre-forward’s signature this summer. They’ll need to meet his asking price and potentially match his £3.1m-a-year/£60k-per-week salary at Everton.
