Jonjo Kenny is expected to be on the move from Everton this summer. The 22-year-old finds himself behind Seamus Coleman in the pecking order and might have to leave on loan to get regular playing time next season. He’s attracted interest from Burnley and Crystal Palace, but Simon Jones of the Daily Mail says Schalke are moving in on the £15k-per-week right-back.

After being loaned out to Wigan Athletic (July 21, 2015 – September 20, 2015) and Oxford United (January 27, 2016 – May 9, 2016), Kenny rose through the youth ranks to the Everton first-team in 2017 and went on to make 39 appearances in all competitions. The England u21 international featured nine times in the league this season but didn’t make an appearance after February.

Everton are wiling to loan the defender out in 2019/20, but the Daily Mail say a buying option could be attached to the deal. Schalke don’t have lucrative funds for new signings so they’re looking at the most cost-effective way to strengthen their squad this summer. Kenny wouldn’t break the bank.

The Bundesliga side will have competition from two Premier League clubs for Kenny’s signature, but time will tell where the Everton man eventually ends up.
