Report: Richarlison transfer update

|

According to Sky Sports News, Everton will reject any offers from AC Milan for Richarlison this summer as they’re planning to build the squad around the Brazilian. Richarlison joined Everton from Watford last summer and has impressed in his debut season at Goodison Park, scoring and creating 15 goals in 32 appearances in all competitions.

Sky Sports say Everton rejected offers in excess of £40m during the January transfer window and will do the same in the coming months. Richarlison, who boasts three goals in six Brazil caps, has been a target for Milan for years. The Serie A giants are said to have tracked his progress for some time and want to bring Richarlison to the San Siro.

Everton aren’t short of money so they’re unlikely to be swayed by a big bid. They paid £40m for Richarlison and agreed a five-year contract at the time. The Toffees hold all the cards to a deal as a result and have made it a summer priority to keep the Brazilian at the club.

It’s worth noting that Everton have spent £280m in the last two transfer windows, so receiving £60m to sell Richarlison will not interest them. Milan might have to turn their attentions elsewhere.
