Everton have been linked with plenty of players this month and it remains to be seen if we make any late signings with the deadline now fast approaching.
The Blues could certainly do with a new striker to say the least, but with just hours left in the window we need to try and get that over the line sooner rather than later.
Whilst we wait to see if we can bring one in, then, it also looks as though two touted exits will now not be happening today.
Indeed, both Idrissa Gueye and James McCarthy have been linked with moves away but according to Sky Sports neither midfielder is now going to leave the club.
Gueye I am particularly relieved about given the ability he has whilst I felt McCarthy could have perhaps done with an exit.
With little time to get a replacement, though, it makes sense now to just keep both and have done with.
