Report: Everton name asking price for Michael Keane

|

According to the Daily Mail, Everton have named their asking price for Michael Keane, amid interest from Arsenal and Tottenham. The Toffees are desperate to keep the centre-back at Goodison Park but would accept a bid of £50m this summer.

Arsenal are in the market for a centre-back as they have the second-worst defensive record (39) in the top-seven of the Premier League. The Gunners will need a long-term replacement for Laurent Koscielny who is out of contract next year and has struggled with injuries.

Tottenham could lose Toby Alderweireld this summer as he’s available for £25m until the final two weeks of the upcoming transfer window. If he leaves the club in the coming months, the Londoners will be looking for a stellar defender that could replace him.

Keane has made 69 appearances in all competitions for Everton since joining from Burnley in 2017, scoring and creating five goals. The 26-year-old has made seven caps for the England national team and recently scored his first goal for his country which is why his value has shot up so much in the last two years.
