Report: Everton must pay €30m and €7m-a-year wages for ‘mysterious object’ in Serie A

|

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Everton are interested in Adrien Rabiot and may have to battle Manchester United to procure his signature. The 25-year-old left Paris Saint-Germain and joined Juventus on a free transfer last summer, but he’s failed to settle in Turin and has been called a ‘mysterious object’ by TMW.

Rabiot could already be on his way out of Juve in the coming months, but he won’t be granted a departure unless his €30m asking price is matched and €7m-a-year/€134k-per-week (£6.29m-a-year/£121k-per-week) wage demands are met.

Which club did Everton loan Cenk Tosun out to in January?

Everton have Jean Philippe-Gbamin, Andre Gomes, Morgan Schneiderlin, Fabian Delph, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Tom Davies, but Sigurdsson could be offloaded, Gbamin has picked up another long-term injury and Schneiderlin is surplus to requirements too.

Allan, Angelo Fulgini, Franck Kessie, Morgan Sanson, Mohammed Kudus, Geoffrey Kondogbia, Davide Frattesi, Matias Vecino, John McGinn and Idrissa Gueye have been linked with a move to Everton, but Rabiot is one player who’s been on their radar for some time.

The French international made 227 appearances in all competitions for PSG, scoring 24 goals and making 14 assists. Since his switch to Juve, he’s gone on to make 24 appearances across the board. Rabiot would improve the Everton midfield, but it remains to be seen if the Toffees will edge out United to bring him to Goodison Park.
