According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Everton are interested in Andrea Belotti and could battle Napoli, AS Roma and Inter Milan for his signature. The 26-year-old joined Torino from US Palermo in 2015 and has gone on to make 162 appearances in all competitions, scoring and creating 86 goals.

Belotti hit double figures for Serie A goals in each of the last five seasons and is one goal away in 2019/20 from making it a sixth – the Italian international currently has nine goals from 23 league games. It may be his final season at the Olympic Grande Torino Stadium, however, as clubs battle for his services.

Everton have Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Moise Kean and Richarlison in attack but may have a space for another centre-forward as a replacement for Cenk Tosun who was loaned out to Crystal Palace before the winter transfer window shut. TuttoMercatoWeb say the Toffees would have to pay €60m (£53.2m) for the €1.7m-a-year/€32.6k-per-week (£1.51m-a-year/£28.8k-per-week) striker.

Let alone the growing interest in Belotti, an exit from Torino looks likely this summer due to the club’s performance in Serie A. Il Toro are 15th in the table with 27 points from 25 games, having lost six on the bounce. Only SPAL 2013 (20), Udinese (21) and Brescia (22) have scored fewer goals than Torino (28), so they’ve not the best side for attackers to thrive at this season.

In 1916 minutes of football, Belotti’s had a hand in 11 Serie A goals, created 26 chances, completed 68.1 of his 417 passes, won 75 aerial duels (52%), made 34 successful dribbles (63%), had 61 shots with 27 on target (44%), drawn 71 fouls, blocked 16 shots/passes/crosses, made 17 clearances, given away 38 fouls and made 17 tackles.
