According to Goal France (h/t GFFN), Everton will have to pay £22.3m to sign Ibrahim Sangare this summer. The Toffees are looking to bolster their midfield and been linked with the 21-year-old who has been a standout performer at Toulouse. Olympique Lyonnais have also been credited with an interest.
Sangare has made 58 appearances in all competitions since joining the Ligue 1 side from AS Denguele in 2016, but he could be on the move in the coming weeks. The uncapped Ivorian featured 28 times in Ligue 1 last season, contributing four goals.
He created 20 chances, made 50 successful dribbles (70%), averaged 54 passes-per-game with 80% accuracy, blocked 54 shots/passes/crosses, made 47 clearances and averaged a tackle (102) or interception (29) every 19 minutes. Sangare is a combative player who is composed in possession and expert at driving with the ball from deep.
According to Sport Interactive and FIFA, Sangare earns between £13k-per-week and £15.6k-per-week. Global Sport Salaries say the average earner at Toulouse is £10.1k-per-week, so Sangare should be earning in excess of that figure as he’s a regular first-team player who recently signed an improved contract. Everton may have to pay around £0.7m-a-year for the midfielder.
