According to Ouest-France, Everton have made ‘concrete offers’ to Angelo Fulgini that haven’t been accepted and may have to battle Girondins Bordeaux and AS Saint-Etienne to procure his signature.

Ouest-France say the 23-year-old is in the final year of his deal at SCO Angers and is left with ‘two options’ – extend his contract or leave.

Which club did Everton loan Cenk Tosun out to in January?

Everton aren’t short of midfielders with Andre Gomes, Jean-Philippe Gbamin, Fabian Delph, Morgan Schneiderlin, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Tom Davies, but Gbamin has been ruled out with an achilles injury until 2021 while Schneiderlin and Sigurdsson could be sold this summer.

The Toffees have been linked with, Franck Kessie, Allan, Adrien Rabiot, Morgan Sanson, Mohammed Kudus, Geoffrey Kondogbia, Davide Frattesi, Matias Vecino, John McGinn and Idrissa Gueye, but Fulgini is the latest name on their radar.

The 23-year-old joined Angers from Valenciennes FC in 2017 and has gone on to make 88 appearances in all competitions, scoring nine goals and making nine assists.

Fulgini has made 23 appearances for Angers this season, creating 25 chances, making 50/77 successful dribbles, winning 21/47 aerial duels, having 16/35 shots on target, making 19 interceptions and 28 tackles, as per WhoScored.

With a market value of €4m-€5m and being in the last year of his deal, Fulgini may be a bargain acquisition for Everton. It appears the Toffees are yet to meet Angers’ demands, however.
