Report: Everton linked with bizarre swap deal involving 19-year-old

|

According to Calciomercato (h/t Sport Witness), Everton could agree a deal with AC Milan for Krzysztof Piatek that could see Moise Kean move in the opposite direction.

The 19-year-old has been linked with a return to Italy after struggling for form and playing time on Merseyside, but it’s hard to see Everton letting him go so soon.

Kean joined from Juventus over the summer and has made 11 appearances in all competitions. The Italian international is yet to get off the mark for Everton, however, and is without a goal in 407 minutes of football.

Marco Silva recently dropped Kean from the starting lineup and hasn’t used him in any capacity for four weeks. The striker’s last appearance came against West Ham United on October 19. He still won’t be offloaded in January, however.

Everton view Kean as a long-term investment and believe he has the potential to be a top centre-forward in the future. Letting him leave just three months after signing him would be premature and could backfire if he finds his feet in Italy.

Should Everton sell Kean in January?

Yes, if it's for the £27.5m we paid

Yes, just get rid

No, he has to stay

Piatek would improve the Toffees’ squad, having scored and created 15 goals in 33 games for Milan, but a swap deal looks highly unlikely.
