Report: Everton eye PSV Eindhoven man with 11 goals in 15 games this season

|

Everton signed Moise Kean to bolster their attack over the summer, but the Toffees could be in the market for another centre-forward. According to Calciomercato, Everton are interested in Donyell Malen after Marcel Brands earmarked the 20-year-old as a transfer target.

The Merseysiders have Kean, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison and Cenk Tosun at their disposal, but they’ve been short of goals this season. Everton are currently 14th in the Premier League and have netted only five times in six games. They’ve been shut-out in 50% of their league games too.

Malen could solve their problems given how much he’s impressed for PSV Eindhoven. As per Transfermarkt, the Netherlands international has contributed 16 goals in 15 games, scoring seven in seven Eredivisie outings. He’s been prolific in 2019/20 and may be exactly what Everton need in attack.

Since leaving Arsenal in August 2017, Malen has scored and created 32 goals in 61 games for PSV. He impressed at youth level too with 13 goals and three assists in 22 u21 games. Everton are keeping an eye on his progress, but Calciomercato have made it clear that the Blues are yet to lodge an official bid for the £50m-rated player.
